Saturday, January 13, 2018 | It’s going to be a pastry throwdown of E P I C proportions!

Mama Crockett’s Cider Donuts is going to join us on Depot Street from 8 AM – 2 PM and sling their out of this world cider donuts!

What is a cider donut, you may ask?

Cider doughnuts are a harvest tradition in autumn in the northeastern United States and are sometimes sold at cider mills. They are often paired with apple cider, and may be covered with cinnamon and/or granulated sugar.

What makes Mama Crockett’s so special?

How do you feel about fresh donuts made with cold-pressed apple cider that are fried right before your very eyes and then tossed in sugar for the perfect crunchy coating? (In a flippin’ sweet 1961 Shasha camper trailer, I might add!)

How do you feel about folks who are just as hilarious, awesome, and honest as we strive to be? (They’re pretty flippin’ awesome!)

FAQs

Q- How did you get connected with a food truck from Virginia?
A- Our Stick Boy Social media gal is from Lynchburg, VA (aka, Mama C’s main donut-making territory)! She raved and raved about their donuts to EVERYONE until one day, Mama Crockett heard that there were Crockettheads in FV and let us know that Mama has family in our little corner of Wake County! (Thus the Tour de Cackalacky was born!)

Q- What do you recommend?
A- Everything. I always get a party pack! (1 dozen hot donuts + a half-gallon of cold pressed apple cider!)

Q- Is is appropriate to set up a folding chair outside of their Shasta trailer and order donuts one by one all day long?
A- Absolutely. (I’ll probably be camped out right beside you!)

Q- Will there be any Stick Boy specials on Saturday?
A- You’ll just have to wait and see! We’ll make more announcements on Saturday morning!
